Ekiti PDP Primary: Security Agents Arrest 500 Armed Thugs LATEST NEWSNEWS

 


Joint security forces comprising Military personnel (Soldiers) and Police Force have arrested over 500 armed thugs at Ita Awure/Efon Junction at about 3 am on Wednesday, which was allegedly going to Ekiti from Ibadan, the Oyo state capital. 


They were in many vehicles before there were intercepted at Ita Awure/Efon Junction by Soldiers and Police personnel, and were believed to be members of Oyo state Park Management System (PMS

It was alleged that the arrested armed thugs were said to be heading to Ekiti to disrupt the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Primary Election, in other to prevent the emergence of a certain candidate for the 2022 governorship election.

During the stop and search by the joint security forces, the alleged PMS members were caught with dangerous weapons like guns, machetes, charms and many other armful objects.


It was gathered that one of the armed thugs was shot dead by the security forces.
